We are delighted to announce that Clear Law have selected the Limbless Association as our Charity of the Year for 2018.
The Limbless Association is a long-standing charity dedicated to supporting amputees to live independent and fulfilled lives beyond limb loss. They provide holistic practical non-medical advice and support to people who find themselves faced with or have undergone amputation. 2018 sees the Limbless Association celebrating 35 years of supporting amputees and their families and, together with supporters and volunteers, they work tirelessly to ensure that ‘no amputee need cope alone’!
Fundraising initiatives are vital in supporting the charity’s work in delivering its early intervention approach. The generous donations of fundraisers enable the Limbless Association to continue to develop services which include, peer mentoring and outreach support as well as a Help Desk. The majority of volunteers are amputees who themselves have been supported by the Limbless Association during their own limb loss journey and then want to give something back to support their fellow amputees.
Commenting on the decision to support such a worthy cause, Kevin Walker, Amputation Claim Specialist and Head of Serious Injury at Clear Law, said: “2018 sees the 35th anniversary of the Limbless Association and we are very pleased to be partnering this great charity in such a significant year. The Limbless Association supports and signposts all pre- and post-amputees to enable optimum recovery and rehabilitation. Their attributes are very much aligned to our own ethos of care and ensuring a clear and prompt rehabilitation pathway”.
We look forward to collaborating throughout 2018 to further raise awareness of the issues around limb loss while supporting the charity team to raise funds to support their work.
