Awareness for the Month of March - written by Peter Bowen-Walker

Not only is 1st March St David’s day and the first day of meteorological spring but it is also Pancake day in 2022. If that isn’t enough for you there are lots of good causes to think about.

March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month - https://targetovariancancer.org.uk/get-involved/ovarian-cancer-awareness-month

Why not log onto the website and learn the symptoms and raise your own awareness – did you know “Only 1 in 5 women know that bloating is a symptom of ovarian cancer”.

March is also Endometriosis Awareness Month - https://www.endometriosis-uk.org/what-action-month

Another really interesting website full of facts and useful information. “Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth in the UK” according to the website.

March is Brain tumour awareness month - https://www.braintumourresearch.org/brain-tumour-awareness-month

Again, another website full of important and useful information. “Approximately 16,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour in the UK every year and there are estimated to be over 60,000 people living with a brain tumour.”
